Assalamu alaykum warahamatallahi wabarakatuh,

Well come a recent enlightenment on the subject of the internet, I have come to realise that I must close down this group. I am sorry for anyone who doesn't wish for that to happen. BUT the fact of the matter is that to show women's images is to then have a woman's modesty (hayaa) compromised. This is bad, for even if the photos show the women hijabed, men will still look at this page and see the beauty of the woman as they are to gaze upon thier faces or hands, and may not lower their gaze, not realising this here even in the online medium should happen, and then commit haram for them. I do not want the brothers or sisters in the beautiful religion of islam to commit haram. Therefore, I have chosen to end this group. It will lay dormant for all times now.

Wasalamz, and forgive me for leading you to this, but I did not have the knowledge, and I was ignorant in this matter.

Well to do it in a modest way would be to i guess show no faces of the muslim women at all...could everyone do that? or permit me to take out the faces on their submissions? I am not good at that though.

I think it is easier and better if it dies. I have already begun taking down the deviations. I am sorry to have posted the news about the competition. I realised I shouldn't have done that as I come to notice that this is not modest...it is not hayaa, which is one of the seventy branches of our iman. Therefore, this group will no longer exist I am afraid.
